Johnathan Schwarz

John is one of the founding partners of DVG, and has 20 years experience building solutions for major organizations. He has a deep foundation in data warehousing, business intelligence, data analysis, and user interface design. He also has experience with standard software development practices, and is a practitioner of agile methodologies. John is focused on setting the strategic direction of the company and developing long term business relationships.
John has been instrumental in the growth of DVG by overseeing the delivery of major projects. John has designed and developed award-winning solutions for the public safety market, and has consulted for one of largest police departments in the country. He has in depth knowledge of law enforcement data and how to develop solutions to empower departments to achieve their goals.
John is also an accomplished singer performing monthly at various locations around NJ. He most enjoys spending time with his family, including 3 growing boys, and his wife Sarah.
Gary A. Maio

COO & Partner
Gary is managing partner and COO for DVG. Gary handles the day to day operations of the company, as well as cultivating relationships in the law enforcement community. His unique blend of creative leadership in law enforcement and corporate management has helped DVG gain significant foothold across various organizations.
A law enforcement veteran, Gary brings close to 25 years of experience in evolving roles as Detective Investigator for the NYPD. His last assignment was with the Real Time Crime Center where he supported major felony investigations, provided requirements for custom applications, performed QA testing, and developed training.
He is a member of the International Association of Emergency Managers (IAEM), The Association for Intelligence Officers (AFIO), and the International Homicide Investigators Association (IHIA).
Rob Clouse

VP - Business Dev & Sales
Rob serves as Vice President of Sales & Business Development at DVG. He has more than has 25 years of experience in high technology markets within a wide range of companies; venture backed start-ups, private owned mid-size, and global public enterprises.
His current responsibilities include directing DVG’s growth in delivering solutions to large enterprise and public sector customers.
When not driving growth and opportunities for DVG, Rob enjoys golfing and spending time with his wife and kids.
John Walker

VP Products & Services
John has been a software developer and engineer for over 20 years, primarily focused on developing innovative software products and solutions for the public safety sector.
For the past five years, in addition to his role as Vice President of Products and Services at DVG, John has been representing DVG as the lead search index software engineer on a large-scale, New York City-based, Microsoft public safety project. John is responsible for hundreds of servers and ensuring billions of records are available for search at all times.
Prior to his role at DVG, John spent 12 years growing a software product company from small start-up to an industry-leading company with over 400 public safety customers in the U.S., Canada, Australia and New Zealand. John was the architect, designer and software developer for five of the company’s software products.
Early in John’s career, he spent six years as a law enforcement officer working in the agency’s Special Enforcement Unit conducting covert investigations. He also served as the unit’s computer administrator, managing/developing software and technologies for successful operation.
When not building software, John can be found coaching baseball and basketball for his two sons and cooking for friends and family.
Ed Farrell

Ed started using GIS as a master’s student at Duke University studying dolphinfish distribution in relation to ocean conditions, which was published in Fisheries Research. He has also used cutting-edge geographic tracking technology to study the behavior of whale sharks at Ningaloo Reef, Australia, Weddell seals in Antarctica (published in Nature Communications) and Steller sea lions in Russia. Ed has designed and implemented desktop, server and web GIS applications for a variety governmental and private organizations. He has also been teaching GIS at Rowan University in the Department of Geography & Environment since 2014. At DVG, Ed specializes in creating unique and integrative GIS solutions by helping clients leverage their existing technology investments in both on-premise and cloud environments.
When not writing code, you can find Ed spending time with his wife and 3 kids, fishing (he holds a USCG Captains License), snowboarding, hiking or staring at a nautical chart.
Regner Peralta

Senior Software Engineer
Reggie is a senior software engineer with 15 years of experience, mostly in Java/J2EE. Reggie has led teams through the full life cycle of software development, including requirement definition, prototyping, design, development, customer testing, deployment, application maintenance and support. He is always looking for new technological challenges and enjoys experimenting with different programming languages and development tools.
When Reggie is not tinkering with technology, you can find him running obstacle course races like the Spartan Races and Tough Mudder.
